Garlic Butter Sauteed Dwarf Grey Sugar Snap Peas

  1. Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Dwarf Grey Sugar Snap Peas, ends trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)

Rise Gardens

  1. Instructions:
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Allow it to melt and start to bubble.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
  • Add the Dwarf Grey Sugar Snap Peas to the skillet and toss to coat with the garlic butter. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the peas are bright green and slightly tender but still crisp.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using), to taste. Toss to combine.
  • Remove from heat and serve immediately.

 

Crunchy Snap Pea Salad with Feta and Mint

  1. Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Dwarf Grey Sugar Snap Peas, ends trimmed and strings removed
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh mint leaves, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Rise Gardens

  1. Instructions:
  • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the snap peas and blanch for about 1-2 minutes, until bright green and slightly tender. Immediately transfer to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Drain and pat dry.
  • In a large bowl, combine the blanched snap peas, crumbled feta cheese, and chopped mint leaves.
  • Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil and lemon juice over the salad. Toss to coat all the ingredients evenly.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve chilled as a refreshing and crunchy salad.
