Hometown: Rome, Italy

Next up in our series is our Buyer, Pamela Xiang. She is our multicultural Buyer. She has lived in 4 countries and speaks 3 languages, which helps her to work with vendors from all over the world. She is helping Rise Gardens improve sourcing processes, as well as facilitating logistics and transportation. Prior to Rise Garden, Pam worked as a luxury goods buyer in Vancouver. Food is what brings her joy. She is happy to share easy recipes with any food lover.

Why did you choose to work with Rise Gardens?

I love plants. Coming from a luxury retail background I became more conscious of waste. I wanted to work for a company that is more conscious and aware about waste.

What's your favorite dish to cook?

Minestrone, ribs and many others.

Tell us about your gardening experience.

I tried to grow tomatoes, parsley and basil and learned that it is pretty challenging to try to grow them indoor without good sunlight and grow lights. I am still in the process of learning how to successfully grow them.
