Wildly Delicious Episode 3: Herby Fall Salad Dressings
If you've never made your own salad dressing, you are missing out. It's incredibly delicious and easy to make when you grow your own fresh herbs in your Rise Garden. On Episode 3 of our Instagram Live cooking show, Wildly Delicious, we share three delicious fall salad dressing recipes. Each recipe takes about 5 minutes to make and can last for at least one week in the refrigerator.
The fresh ingredients add an extra zip of flavor for all of your salads this season. And, of course, you can't go wrong with a delicious homemade ranch dressing all year long.

Homemade Buttermilk Ranch Salad Dressing
Ingredients
- ¾ cup buttermilk
- 1 cup sour cream
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp chives, chopped
- 1 tbsp dill, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1⁄2 tsp fresh ground pepper
- 4 tsp lemon juice
Directions
Step 1: Add all of the ingredients to a bowl and whisk the ingredients together until they blended.
Step 2: Store in an air-tight container for up to one week.
Cranberry Thyme Vinaigrette
Ingredients
- 1 shallot, peeled and quartered
- ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
- ½ cup fresh cranberries
- ¼ cup flax seed oil
- 2 tsp red wine vinegar
- 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 tsp honey
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp ground pepper
Directions
Step 1: Add all of the ingredients to a food processor or blender and blend until combined.
Step 2: Store in an air-tight container for up to one week.
Herby Apple Cider Vinaigrette
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 1/2 tsp fresh oregano
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Directions
Step 1: Add all of the ingredients to a mason jar, secure it with a lid, and shake until the ingredients are blended.
Step 2: Store in the jar for up to two weeks. Shake the jar to recombine the ingredients, as needed.
