Leave the nursery dome on until seeds sprout. Microgreens benefit from the extra humidity during their short growing cycle.
Microgreens can be grown entirely in the nursery or moved to the garden. Either way, they'll be ready in 7-14 days.
Cut microgreens when the first true leaves appear (after the initial seed leaves). This is when nutrition and flavor peak.
Unlike other plants, microgreens are harvested all at once. Cut just above the pod surface and enjoy immediately for maximum nutrition.
Follow these stages for successful growing in your Rise Garden
Your seeds will sprout and start growing into the Humidity Dome.
Once your seeds grow tall enough, they will touch the Humidity Dome. Once this happens, remove the Dome and allow your seeds to grow taller!
Plant grows larger with several sets of leaves. Prune any yellow leaves.
Your microgreens are ready to harvest once they have their true leaves. Its okay if only a portion of your plants have this new leaf. Look for about 50% or more. Remember to harvest all of your mat at once otherwise it may lead to molding.
Make sure you always have fresh sprouted plants to put into your garden
Many of our seed varieties are organic! However, our varieties depend on seasonal availability, so we cannot guarantee that all of our seeds are organic.
Our seed pods are made from a combination of coco coir and peat moss!
Yes! Start your microgreens in the nursery. Once they've sprouted (3 to 5 days) move them into the garden. Microgreens can also be grown 100% in the nursery. Simply keep them in your nursery and harvest them when ready. Remember to check the water levels of the nursery frequently.
Yes! We encourage you to add an 8 or 12 pod tray if you want to have microgreens to harvest daily. You might also want to get an extra nursery pack.
All of our seed pods have a shelf life of 1 year, if stored in a cool, dark environment (between 30°F and 40°F). For more information, check out our guide for seed storage on our Help Center website.
