Your garden does most of the work. These short animations show you the rest, from seeding the nursery to the 3-month deep clean. Every clip is built from the garden's own design files, so what you see matches the garden you own. The plants in them are illustrative.
Start here. Your first seeds go into the nursery.
Fill the nursery with plain water, below the max fill line, with no nutrients yet. Keep each seed pod upright, because the seeds aren't glued in. Poke a hole in the doughnut sticker, set the pod in a net cup, click the cup in until the tabs snap, then add the humidity dome and set the nursery on the tray lid under the lights. Most seeds sprout in 1 to 2 weeks, and lettuce can show in as little as 3 to 5 days.
When the second set of leaves appears, it's moving day.
That second set is called the true leaves. Move your seedlings within 2 days of seeing them. Take the dome off and move each net cup into the tray lid, using every other opening. Then lift out the empty nursery.
When the Care Light blinks, open the app for your doses.
Dissolve 1/2 teaspoon of dry Sprout in warm water for every gallon of water you're adding, and switch to Blossom once fruiting plants flower. Open the service door and pour it in, then add pH Balance as the app directs. The pump runs on its own when you dose through the app, and without Wi-Fi you can press and hold the light button to run it for 5 minutes.
Every 3 months, give your garden a fresh start.
Take out the plants, wipe the lid, and half-fill the garden with warm water and 1 cup of white vinegar. Press and hold the light button to run the pump for 5 minutes, then remove the pump and scrub it. Lift the tray off the rails, pour out the water and scrub the tray with the rough side of a sponge. Rinse, refill and put the pump back, and after each harvest, soak your net cups in vinegar or put them on the top rack of the dishwasher.
