Next up in our series is our Hardware Engineer, Akram Ali. Akram is the lead electronics hardware engineer for Rise Gardens. He has a PhD in Architectural Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, with many years of experience in designing and prototyping low-power wireless sensors and controls. At Rise Gardens, he is responsible for electronic product design and development, and has a goal of making our smart gardens even smarter.
Why did you choose to work with Rise Gardens?
It's a great opportunity to be involved at the core level of building a product from scratch that promotes healthy living and eating
How has Rise Gardens changed how you are eating?
I'm eating more organic vegetarian food now, and my green leaf intake has increased considerably.
What’s your favorite dish to cook?
Pasta with stir-fried vegetables and marinara sauce
